Where will the event take place?

This year’s event will take place in the atrium of the Georgetown International Academy, Tract ‘C’ Block XXX, South Railway Embankment, Pattensen.

I missed getting a ticket before the event. Will tickets be available at the door?

No, we are not accepting any non-ticketed guests at the door. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Please refer to the Principles’ Update emails with details on pickup times and location. Last date to purchase tickets will be Wednesday, March 18, or until they are sold out.

How do I purchase tickets to the event?

You are able to reserve your tickets online through this form. All tickets must be picked up in person, and payment is due upon receipt. Tickets must be picked up by an adult. Please refer to the Principles’ Update email for pick-up times or contact us at pto@giagy.org if you are purchasing tickets but do not have a child at the school.

What are the ticket prices for the event?

We have two ticket options for the event, as well as an option to sponsor a teacher to attend. Additional details can be found on our ticket reservation form here

  • General Admission Tickets – 20,000 GYD per ticket – includes two alcoholic drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres
  • Teacher/Staff Tickets – 10,000 GYD per ticket – exclusive reduced ticket price for our teachers/staff to join in the celebration; includes two alcoholic drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres; teachers may extend this price to one guest (additional guests will pay the General Admission ticket price)
    • There is a limit to the number of teacher tickets available. First come, first served. Additional details will be provided directly to faculty and staff.

What should I wear to the gala?

Your finest enchanted garden attire or floral formal wear is recommended, but any cocktail attire you have is more than welcome. If you are looking to dress to theme, we created a Pinterest board for inspiration. Please choose what you feel comfortable wearing! Costumes are not required.

What is the gala raising funds for this year?

Funds raised from this year’s gala will support Georgetown International Academy’s student enrichment and support services. This umbrella of funding is intended to create meaningful impact for all GIA students and the GIA community at large. Among the funding initiatives are an Artist in Residence program to bring local and international creators (authors, visual artists, etc.) into the school with multi-day, curriculum-supported programming; grant money for student support services; and more.

I still have more questions, who do I reach out to?You can reach out to the PTO with your questions via email to giapto.gala@giagy.org or pto@giagy.org and someone from the team will respond shortly.
