Welcome to High School at Georgetown International Academy
At Georgetown International Academy, our High School program (Grades 9–12) empowers students to achieve academic excellence, develop strong personal integrity, and graduate prepared to thrive in an interconnected world.
The 2026–2027 school year represents a historic milestone for GIA. Our High School has reached a record enrollment of 98 students—marking the largest high school student body in our history. Across our entire Upper School, 181 students are learning, leading, and shaping our community.
This year also launches a transformative academic era: GIA is officially an authorized IB World School, offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) to our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students. Renowned worldwide for its academic rigor, research focus, and emphasis on international-mindedness, the IBDP beautifully complements our established Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Together, these pathways offer our learners diverse and challenging academic routes tailored to their unique university and career aspirations. We are especially proud to celebrate the 16 members of the Class of 2027, who are embarking on their two-year journey as part of this landmark inaugural IBDP cohort.
Beyond rigorous academics, GIA high schoolers engage in competitive athletics, visual and performing arts, Model United Nations, JagWire Multimedia & Journalism club, academic competitions, global experiential trips, and community leadership. We challenge our students to think critically, act ethically, and make a meaningful difference locally and globally.

The Class of 2026, 9 graduates, 7 nationalities, 3 continents... may have been small in size, but their achievements were anything but. Together, they earned more than 40 university acceptances and continued their journeys across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Surrounded by family, friends, classmates, and siblings, the community came together to honor a class whose journey reflects the heart of GIA's High School. A close-knit, supportive environment where every student is known, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
It’s a tradition that began in 2023 and this year, the Class of 2026 took their turn! The Final Lap is a special GIA tradition celebrating our seniors as they make one last trip around campus together, marking the final stretch of their journey as Jaguars. From their first days at GIA to this unforgettable moment, they’ve grown, learned, laughed, led, and created memories that will stay with them long after graduation. Congratulations, Class of 2026!
