Georgetown International Academy is proud to announce a milestone moment in our school’s history — our first official Alumni Gathering in Georgetown, Guyana.
For decades, GIA has been more than a school. It has been a community of learners, leaders, artists, thinkers, and global citizens whose journeys began in classrooms filled with curiosity, challenge, and connection. Now, we are bringing those journeys back together.
This inaugural Alumni Gathering marks the next step in strengthening the GIA Alumni Network — reconnecting former students across generations while building a bridge between our school’s roots and its future.
Why This Gathering Matters
GIA’s story began with a vision to serve families of the U.S. Embassy and has grown into a vibrant learning community that includes local Guyanese families and forty-six additional nationalities. Our alumni are a living reflection of that evolution.
This event is an opportunity to:
- Reconnect with former classmates and teachers
- Celebrate shared memories and school traditions
- Learn about GIA’s growth, programs, and future direction
- Build a network that supports mentorship, collaboration, and opportunity
- Strengthen alumni engagement as part of GIA’s expanding community initiatives
This is more than a reunion — it is the foundation of an active and enduring GIA Alumni Network.
Who Should Attend
All former GIA students — from every campus era and graduating year — are warmly invited. Whether you attended for one year or many, you are part of the GIA story.
Looking Ahead
This event is just the beginning. As GIA grows its alumni program, future initiatives will include mentorship opportunities, alumni features, school collaborations, and ways for graduates to remain connected to the life of the school.
We are excited to welcome our alumni back — to the place where many journeys began.
