Whether you are returning to GIA or joining our community for the first time, we are delighted to welcome you and your family. Lower School is a joyful and caring place where students are encouraged to be curious, take risks, build meaningful relationships, and discover the excitement of learning.
Our Pre Kindergarten 3 through Grade 5 program supports the development of the whole child. Through engaging academics, social-emotional learning, the arts, physical education, and opportunities to explore and create, students develop the knowledge, confidence, empathy, and resilience they need to thrive. We celebrate the diverse cultures, languages, and experiences within our international community and work to ensure that every child feels known, valued, and supported.

Our curriculum, aligned with rigorous standards such as AERO, NGSS, and C3, inspires critical thinking and creativity across subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts. Through engaging individual and group activities, students not only learn foundational knowledge but also develop a curiosity-driven mindset that fuels their desire to explore and innovate. We utilize MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) and I-Ready assessments to tailor our intervention sessions, and implement personalized strategies to support each student’s unique learning needs.
Focusing on Social and Emotional Skills
Central to our mission is the social-emotional growth of our students. We empower them with essential life skills, resilience, and empathy through dedicated programs and activities.
