GIA Moves Forward in IB Diploma Programme Authorization

Georgetown International Academy has received feedback from the International Baccalaureate (IB) regarding our Application for Authorization. We are proud to share that GIA has been commended for the significant efforts made toward Diploma Programme (DP) implementation.

The IB Programme Delivery Team has now confirmed the dates for our remote Verification Visit, which will take place on March 11–12. This important step in the authorization process allows the IB Visiting Team to evaluate our readiness to deliver the Diploma Programme.

Our IB Coordinator is currently working closely with the Visiting Team to develop the detailed agenda for the two-day visit.

As we continue preparing our community for the DP, we encourage families to attend our upcoming IB Information Sessions:

• February 12 at 8:30 — The IB Subject Selection
  
• March 12 at 8:30 — Deep Dive: The IBDP Core (CAS) & Well-being
  
• April 13 at 8:30 — Assessment & Grading: The Final Picture
